Croatian Testimony

Starjesina Nitta's letter to the family last week had his testimony in Croatian. It was so cool I thought I'd share with everyone. In his letter to me he said that he's doing great. He's learning TONS so quickly. He can now have an introductory conversation, pray, and testify in Croatian. Pretty cool I'd say for only being in the MTC a week. Here's his testimony in Croatian :)

P.S. Here's some Croatian pronounciation that he told me:
-"j" makes a "y" sound
-trill your "r"'s
-add an h (like sash) to any letter with a "cap" on it (looks like a little v above the letter)
-vowels are a, e, i, o, u and sometimes j
-vowels make the same sounds as Japanese vowels do. That makes things easier! ha.

First Letter

Our family back home received Elder Nitta's first letter today! He seems to be doing great. He sure was ready to get into that MTC when we dropped him off! He didn't even want to take pictures with the family, he was so excited to get in there. We were so glad to hear from him, so we thought we'd share with everyone :) I know it's a little small, so click the image and it should enlarge it! Enjoy!

P.S. "Jacob" that he mentions in his letter is a friend we met in Hawaii while we did a summer semester at BYU-H. Elder Nitta became great friends with him and they were both called to the Slovenia/Croatia mission and both reported on August 12th!
